Is the wallbox protected against unauthorised use by third parties?

Yes, the ghostONE wallbox offers several access control options:

RFID
The charging process only starts after authentication via RFID chip directly at the wallbox. The chip is initially registered locally or via OCPP for your own individual wallbox (e.g. private use) or for a charging site (e.g. at company premises).

Autocharge (ISO15118)
Authentication via charging cable: The wallbox exchanges information with the vehicle (which has a unique MAC address). If the vehicle has been pre-authorised for a charging process at the wallbox via its MAC address, authentication takes place automatically and the vehicle starts charging without the need for authorisation via RFID. (This is currently only possible with certain vehicles)

Plug & Charge (ISO15118)
This is similar to Autocharge, but the information required for authentication is encrypted and intelligently exchanged between the vehicle and wallbox via certificates. All that is required for this is that the vehicle supports communication as per the ISO15118 standard. The wallbox supports all aspects of this standard. (This is currently only possible with certain vehicles)

What weather conditions is the ghostONE wallbox designed for?

The ghostONE wallbox can be used at temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +45 °C (ghostONE BASIC) / -25 °C to +45 °C (ghostONE MID & ERK) as well as in rain and wet conditions.
